September Recap: VetsinTech Seattle Turns One + Dreamforce

September has been a packed month for me, with the VetsinTech Seattle AI Prototyping Workshop + our 1st anniversary, followed by Dreamforce.

1// VetsinTech Seattle: AI Prototyping Workshop + 1 Year Celebration

I'm more than a week late, but a huge thank you to Michael Zwingle and Meghan Sullivan for hosting VetsinTech Seattle at the AWS Skills Center, and to Cami Hough for all the support!

A year ago, this chapter was a handful of people meeting over coffee. It's been cool to be part of the journey and see it grow into a community that doesn't just share knowledge about the latest in tech, but also builds authentic connections.

I'm looking forward to another year of this! More meetups and workshops are coming. If your company wants to host or partner with VetsinTech Seattle, let me know.

2// Dreamforce 2026

I got to support and attend sessions and chat with customers and partners. I also met up with the Salesforce military community and finally got to meet folks in person, including a full-circle moment with Travis Bautista. He and I first connected at an online ViT event back in 2022, kept in touch over the years, and now he's at Salesforce.

I wrapped up DF by supporting Neighborhood Forest at Dreamforce Gives, helping attendees pot succulents to donate to middle schoolers and helping kids get trees. I'd love to bring this back to Seattle as a volunteer event.

Now, I'm committed to replacing the plastic IKEA plant on my desk with a real one and keeping it alive. lol

Alright, back to building.
