Saying no to the things you love and are important to you is the hardest part of midlife.
I'm in my mid-30s, starting the midlife squeeze, and it has been humbling. **My mind is constantly running between** - Being a good and reliable husband - Raising 2 kids, and being a present parent - Taking care of my own health - Helping my aging parents

I'm in my mid-30s, starting the midlife squeeze, and it has been humbling.
My mind is constantly running between
- Being a good and reliable husband
- Raising 2 kids, and being a present parent
- Taking care of my own health
- Helping my aging parents
- Delivering at work
- Keeping up with the tech industry
- Building a community and relationships
- Scratching the itch of building things
- Feeding my curiosity to learn
- Making sure we are financially sound
I've had to say no to many things, and the toughest part is saying no to things that are important to you.
Just because you don’t have the time, energy, or it just isn’t a fit for what you are prioritizing right now.
Yes, did I just sneak in a PM prioritization line when declining an important ask? lol
And to be clear, this isn't by any means a complaint; life has been great to me.
For me, all this is more of a reminder to just do my best today. And if you are in the same boat, welcome to the party, and let's get after it.
